Emily's poem for 9/11

Most likely you have come here from a page for my own 9/11 poem - you can click the link if you have not and are curious about it. In any case, here is another effort from a different perspective.

On the one year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, my cousin Emily's elementary school class was asked to write poems about their feelings in response to the event. Here is what she had to say:

The 9-11 had our hearts in shock...
The memories are in a box...
We as a school are the lock.
The shadow refuses to give us
the healing key to unlock the lock...
It will not leave us alone.
