This is a place where real good can be done to alleviate human mystery, and whether you're aiming for Christian goodwill to all, cosmic Karma or simply letting the world know the US isn't just about self-interest, it has its merits. But not if it turns into another way for backward regimes to concentrate their power over their people. As a side note, one wonders what will happen in South Africa and elsewhere where some have claimed it's just a way to get Big Pharma into the market. We'd note, of course, that this credits American corporations with doing an awful good job focussing on the long term since it's going to be a while before anyone turns a profit over there. * * *
