Here's the latest:McPhail chair flap may remain unresolved Massager was removed before officers arrived Yep, you read that right. Sharon McPhail, a member of the Detroit City Council, claims that someone tampered with her chair massager so that it would give her a shock when she sat down. Her number one suspect: Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. "Our office has been flooded with phone calls from citizens today who have been hysterical with laughter," Jamaine Dickens, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's spokesman, said. "Although we don't believe this is a laughing matter, the accusations are a little far-fetched."McPhail claims she's being harrassed in retaliation for voting against the mayor's casino proposals. He notes they would have passed anyway. One other note: the investigation might have gotten somewhere, but McPhail removed the massager system from the chair so there's no way to verify if it was really rigged the way she claimed. But fear not, the FBI and local law enforcement are on the case. * * *
