Emphases: He says he has no prohibited missiles, no intentions of stepping down and no ties to Al-Qaeda. Le Figaro says Raffarin refuses rigor, preferring deficits to hard choices on taxes and spending. While Le Monde can't find a headline - nor even an opening paragraph - to acknowlege this, Le Figaro's international lead is Baghdad still refuses to destroy its missiles. Also, they note - and cut to the chase in so doing, that North Korea fires a missile, Washington offers its hand, about the resumption of food aid to North Korea. Libé: Pacifism unites the Assembly: Left and right behind Chirac. Only a small minority of the UMP on guard against a rupture with Washington. * * *
