Meanwhile, from the President: Bush: Saddam Shouldn't 'Pop His Head Up' If Alive One presumes that Saddam is smart enough to notice that every time it seems he might be somewhere, that place very shortly ceases to exist. Will he become a mystery man, rumored to be alive though widely thought dead? If he is, indeed, alive, this is the smartest action he could take. I think it's safe to say at this point that the only place Saddam might evade detection is if he got a job (drumroll) as an American airport security officer.
