Successful Iraqi Elections?
Turnout estimated at 72% outside the Sunni Triangle. 44 dead, but 9 of those were attackers. So let's amend to 35 innocents killed.

No, the news isn't all great. But something pretty incredible happened here. People showed up to vote in spite of the death threats. A major blow to the strategy of Al-Qaeda, proving, no matter how badly the rest of it goes, that the Iraqi people think they should have a say in their lives and that waiting for Al-Qaeda to pick religious leaders to rule them is not in the cards.
