Thought for this day
To become better, we must have been worse.
To become stronger, we must have been weaker.
To become smarter, we must have been more stupid.
To become wiser, we must have been more ignorant.
Before we can walk, we must first crawl.
Before we can learn life's lessons, we must first live.
So do not regret what might have been
if only you had known or done or been different:
You could not become who you are before being who you were
and could not know what you now know before learning.
Therefore, if you feel the urge to regret, celebrate:
In the process of becoming who you are,
you have learned from life's stumbles and have grown.
