Cicero poses an interesting question: If the threat of death can't stop a suicide bomber (obviously), what will?Has it occured to anyone to ask whether they might be deterred by the threatened murder of their families - whom Saddam and others had been regularly rewarding for the sacrifice of the suicide bombers, themselves?
Just wondering.
They are murdering our families, after all.
Just a thought. An interesting thought. We know that the Palestinians started turning in would-be bombers after the Israelis started demolishing their family homes.
Not 100% sure about Cicero's proposal, but he's right on the substance: We need to hit the terrorists where they live.
Cicero, by the way, opposes our Iraq venture. But is assuredly not soft on terrorism.
