John Cole (found on pajamasmedia.com) on Feb. 11:And I know that saying something is the dumbest piece of legislation ever is really making a statement, but I think I am right:Wyoming hunters could carry automatic weapons and guns equipped with silencers in the field … PJ Media on Feb. 12:The Vice President accidentally wounded hunting partner Harry Whittington, 78, and the blogs are on it immediately. Michelle Malkin thinks this is not good news for the White House, as does Kesher Talk. Dave Copeland sees the accident as a “gift for left-leaning bloggers,” while Gay Rights Watch says “Ok so not funny that a man got shot - but funny that Dick Cheney was the one that shot him… with a shotgun no less.” And Speed of Thought, kidding of course, opines “Maybe he was a Democrat.” More coming undoubtedly. I have to confess that I'm with Gay Rights Watch on this one. As soon as I fired up AOL this evening, I cackled. The TurkeyGal immediately surmised that I'd seen the Cheney story, which she thought was horrible... but she knew what I was reacting to. I dunno. Just something about a headline about the Vice-President shooting someone... To ratchet up the hyperbole, that's a real "man bites rhinoceros" kind of story, not something you're expecting.
And I loved the ranch owner's casual references to getting "peppered".
I hear the RNC is p.o.'d though: No more fundraisers featuring a "weekend retreat" with the VP.
