We extend our fondest hopes and wishes to Mr. Whittington and family. At the same time, we think it premature to plan for the Vice-President's departure, notwithstanding his less than noble response to the incident, as discussed by Roger L. Simon.
That said, if calculations are to be made in politics - and they are and should be - now might not be a bad time to start the chant: Condi... Condi... Condi!
