We're all aware of Obama's call for a nuke free world (fwiw, I want a world without soggy peanut butter sandwiches - we all can dream) and the way North Korea showed its enthusiasm with a purely peaceful missile launch. Still, with their current technology North Korea could get, what, one or two of our cities at the very most. (If they aim for San Francisco, I hope they don't accidentally hit San Jose.) This, on the other hand, could be really bad news:

Obama Wants to Control the Banks

There's a reason he refuses to accept repayment of TARP money.

Nut graf:
[A bank that received TARP funds] is begging to give the money back. The chairman offers to write a check, now, with interest. He's been sitting on the cash for months and has felt the dead hand of government threatening to run his business and dictate pay scales. He sees the writing on the wall and he wants out. But the Obama team says no, since unlike the smaller banks that gave their TARP money back, this bank is far more prominent. The bank has also been threatened with "adverse" consequences if its chairman persists. That's politics talking, not economics.
"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'"
President Ronald Reagan
